A member of the Virgin group of companies, Virgin Experience Days sells vouchers which are redeemable against different days out and short breaks around the UK.
These include adrenaline-rush experiences such as skydiving, motor racing, bungee jumping and sphering, which involves going inside a giant, bouncy orb that is pushed down a hill. Some of these activities are available at two-for-one with Virgin Experience Days discount vouchers.
Other more sedate packages offered by Virgin Experience Days include spa getaways and dinners for two at gourmet restaurants. All of these offers are reduced in price with the right Virgin Experience Days discount voucher. Many of these days out are marketed as gifts for special occasions such as Valentine's Day, Christmas or wedding anniversaries and birthdays.
The system works by offering the recipient a particular experience, which can be given as a gift and costs a fixed price, or by giving vouchers which are worth a certain amount which is then redeemable against certain experience. These vouchers are called choice vouchers'. They can be subject to reductions of up to 20 per cent with Virgin Experience Days discount codes.
Virgin Experience Days was first started in 2001 as a division of Richard Branson's Virgin Group. It is based in Lane End, Buckinghamshire, just outside of London. In 2003, the company joined with Acorne Sports, the founders of the experiences concept back in 1988.
