"Its about time someone did a bit of straight talking! The government may not like what Sir Alan says but he is right - I know of several small businesses who dream that they will make a great deal of money but when it comes to the hard graft they cannot cope - business is not all that glamorous - its hard work and one has to be prudent with the money - not spend spend spend like our own government. The government and the banks have been and still are sending out the wrong messages - at the expense of the taxpayer and at the expense of small businesses in the UK. Get your act together Gordon!
