iPhone to be released by Vodafone UK

Apple has entered an agreement with Vodafone to sell the popular iPhone in the UK.
The agreement follows news that Orange had secured a similar arrangement with the mobile phone manufacturer.

Man jailed for drunken inflight behaviour

A drunken airline passenger who insulted an air steward by referring to him as a “poof” has been jailed.
The passenger’s behaviour was so abusive that the pilot was forced to make an emergency landing in Bermuda, Manchester Crown Court was told.

Car scrappage scheme may be extended

The UK government is planning to extend its car scrappage scheme, which gives consumers £2,000 if they trade in a car under 10 years old and purchase a new car.

House prices see slight dip

England and Wales have recorded slight falls in the price of houses, according to figures obtained from the Land Registry.
The figures show that the price of houses dropped by just 0.1 percent or £202 from July to take the average price of homes to £155,968.
