50 Cent runs up £75,000 bar tab at London club
by Katie Naylor
American rapper 50 Cent managed to accumulate a bar tap to the amount of £75,000 at the after party of Dead Man Running at the Alto club in London’s Soho.
The 33 year-old rapper hired the whole VIP area for his friends, film colleagues and entourage at the club.
A guest at the party said when he arrived at the club, it was mayhem. The area was cleared for him and security ushered him straight through. On his table were bottles of champagne but he wanted a magnum bottle of Ace Of Spades champagne.
The guest said that he loved the attention as people had been trying to take photos on their phones and shouting out his name.
50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, plays a loan shark and gangster named Mr Thigo in the film, a character that isn’t far off his real life past.
Moments after the rapper arrived, security was left in a state of panic when a horde of girls attempted to break into the VIP area in a bid to meet the American star.
165 of the hundreds of girls who tried to break into the VIP area managed get past security and he allowed them to sit at his table for the remainder of the night.
Another guest said that they were drinking champagne right from the bottle and obviously in their element. 50 was chatting away to them and the girls were giggling and dancing around his table.
He left the club alone shortly after 3am.
