Thomas Cook unveils new cash points
by Sally Davies
Package travel giant Thomas Cook has launched its first branded cash points providing customers with commission-free withdrawals in both sterling and euros.
The cash machine is located outside of a branch in the company’s home town of Peterborough, and Thomas Cook has announced plans to implement more ATMs in different locations around Britain within the next few months.
The join venture is a partnership with Raphaels Bank, which already owns an estate of foreign currency dispensing ATMs in the UK.
However, it is not Thomas Cook’s first venture into the banking sector; the brand already offers a variety of financial services including foreign exchange and a credit card operated in conjunction with Barclay’s Bank as well as prepaid currency and travel insurance policies.
CEO of Independant Travel at Thomas Cook UK & Ireland, Ian Derbyshire, said that the installation of the cash machine was a big step forward for the company when it comes to foreign currency.
