Man arrested in connection with Melanie Hall murder

A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a woman whose remains were found on the M5, 14 years after her disappearance.
Police have confirmed that a man, 39, has is being questioned about the death of Melanie Hall, whose remains were found on the M5 in 2009, over 14 years after she disappeared following a night out in Bath. Officers investigating the case said that the man voluntarily turned himself in to a police station, and is due to be questioned by law enforcement officials regarding the case.
Miss Hall vanished after spending a night at Cadillac’s nightclub in Bath, and her remains were found last October on a slip road at Junction 14 of the M5 in South Gloucestershire. Investigators have had little success in determining what exactly happened to Miss Hall and the circumstances surrounding her disappearance and death, and now claim that although the arrest is a significant development, the case is still on-going.
According to Detective Chief Inspector Gareth Bevan of Avon and Somerset Police, the investigation team working the case has worked tirelessly since the body of Miss Hall was found last October. He went on to add that no stone has been left unturned in the search for the truth regarding what happened to Miss Hall, and the recent arrest is part of the continuing investigation being conducted by local officials.
