Toys R Us launches partnership with Autism South Africa
by Harry Oldfield
Toys R Us has launched a partnership with Autism South Africa, which will involve increased education and outreach in the country through a two-year funding relationship. The initiative will help educate local professionals throughout the provinces in South Africa in order to increase benefits for children who suffer from autism.
According to Toys R Us South Africa Director Issy Zimmerman, the partnership between his firm and Autism South Africa is a natural fit, as both groups are concerned with the welfare of children throughout the country. He went on to add that Toys R Us is in the business of bringing smiles to children, and is proud to be a part of a program that can do so much good for those who suffer from autism in South Africa.
Autism South Africa’s National Director, Jill Stacey, said that her organisation is extremely grateful to Toys R Us for committing to the two-year endeavour, and is sure that the financial contributions provided by the firm will help children tremendously throughout the country. She went on to say that through the combined efforts, children who suffer from autism will see long-term benefits and improved development.
