London youth stabbed to death at school

by Natasha Redman

A 15-year-old student at a school in South London has been stabbed to death, according to police. The boy was a student at Park Campus School in West Norwood, and although emergency response technicians were called to the scene, they were unable to save the youth due to the extent of his injuries. Police believe the attack was planned by other youths, and was not a random attack.

According to Detective Chief Inspector John McFarlane, the boy was standing in front of the school with some friends when a car containing four black males pulled up and started a confrontation. The youth then ran from the attackers, but was caught and suffered fatal injuries. Inspector McFarlane went on to say that another youth, 14, was also attacked as he ran towards the school and tried to enter the building, suffering minor injuries during the incident.

Saima Sadfdar, a local merchant with a shop across from the school, described the attack by saying that the males who initiated the altercation had a large knife, and that she knew the boy who was killed. The youth is the 13th teenager to be killed in London this year, nine of whom have been stabbed to death.
