Bride calls wedding off learning of fiance secret life
by Katie Naylor
Just weeks before her wedding day, a 27-year-old bride-to-be found out that her fiancé was leading a secret life as a porn star.
Haylie Hocking, from Bristol, called the wedding off after her maid of honour learnt that husband-to-be Jason Brake was working part-time work as an “adult film actor” and stripper.
Hocking had bought an £800 wedding dress, picked her bridesmaids and booked a horse-drawn carriage for the event.
When Brake, who also works part-time as a fitness instructor, was confronted with the discovery, he admitted that it was true – and she ended the engagement.
In comments to the Bristol Evening Post, Hocking said: “He was away at the time so I phoned him and he didn’t try and deny it. He came straight home and said that he and I were too used to the money he was getting to stop it.”
She added: “All I could think was that he had been having sex with other women while he had been with me and there was no way that I was ever going to be able to trust him. I really had no idea whatsoever and if Lisa had not looked to book a stripper then maybe I would never have known.”
