Music experiences ups and downs. For a long time there has been the sense of an unoriginal vibe surrounding the music industry. The artist has lost all integrity, selling their soul for the price of fame. Michael Jackson passing away could have been seen as the natural conclusion of the creative act of popular music, [...]

"hi discount expert i am really upset at an event that i witnessed today. a young man i came across at the cinema tonight changed his mind about watching a movie and decided to cash out the cinema voucher/ticket at the venue, he decided to buy popcorn and soda and collect the remaining of his change in cash and go home but he was disgraced by the attending staff at the popcorn booth i approached the incident and confirmed that he actually purchased the voucher or ticket with his credit card, and he decided to go home instead of waiting to watch the movie, i think he has a right to collecting his change. But my question is this, what is wrong in this scenario? Is there anything wrong in changing your mind and asking for a refund or at the very least part change of your cash? And what kind of tickets/vouchers can one purchase with credit cards that one is entitled to a refund? please send your reply yo kayus84@yahoo.com thank you nb: i wud hate to be disgraced like that so i need to be aware.

The Greatest 80s Movie
by Amarjeet Kalsi
When thinking of this I had to come up with a definition of a great 80s movie. I was faced with shock, hope, misery, but at the end, joy.
Huh?
I am going to immediately disqualify certain movies, not to offend anyone, but just to make sense of what the decade gave to us and what people [...]

The iPad: Will it be a Bargain?
by David Davies
Just a little warning before we begin. I’m about to quote a lot of people, often at length. I have done my best to avoid those focussing on whether the iPad will sell or not. The more interesting question is whether it’s any good or not.
One thing the iPad hasn’t generated much of is ambivalence. [...]

What Will Technology Be Like In the Next 10 Years?
by David Davies
This is what technology looked like 10 years ago.
“A human’s desire is to reinvent himself, live out his fantasies, overindulge; addiction will definitely increase. Whole communities/subcultures, which even today are a growing faction, will materialise. We may see a vast blurring of virtual/real reality with many participants living an in-effect secluded lifestyle. Only in the [...]

Movies That Should Never Have Won Oscars
by David Davies
When we decided to write a post about the movies that won Oscars, but shouldn’t have, perhaps we should have entitled it ‘Shakespeare in Love and the Undeserving Musicals’. It’s this movie along with Chicago and the Sound of Music that have caused some of the biggest Oscar-based disputes over the past half a century, [...]

Gadget of the Decade (2000 – 2009)
by David Davies
For consumer technology, this decade has been the most exciting since the introduction of the first commercially available home computers in the 1980s. Where the 1990s were dominated by the flourishing of the internet, the 2000s have seen its transition from novelty to necessity, and with wireless technologies and processing power accelerating to keep up, [...]
