I just like using Apple stuff, doesn't matter about logic. I find I swear fewer times when using a mac and I just find it "funner". Only reason I got my first mac was because I wanted a good match to a unix dev environment and couldn't get ubuntu to work with my wifi network on laptop and I got sick of wasting my time trying. true story :)

The security is all in UNIX which Apple adopted, and a Mac now is just PC hardware with a closed-source distribution of UNIX installed. They lost my love when they dropped RISC...BURN!!!

Been a Mac driver for ages. Work with a PC at work. The difference couldn't be bigger.

I heart my Mac something stupendous.

Submitted that accidentally!

I'll address a few of your points:

1. Office for Mac isn't 100% compatible with Office for Windows. It's also hideous to use compared to the Windows version.

2. So does Windows. And I've had to install drivers for plenty of stuff on Macs.

3. Apple don't make the hardware, it's all contracted out to Asus et al.

4. New laws were passed in Europe (RoHS, WEEE, etc) which mean that no electronic product is allowed to contain harmful materials, Apple are just better at using it for publicity.

5. This is a real love/hate thing, personally I find it intensely annoying.

6. Depends what you're used to. It also feels too dumbed down a lot of the time, power user type stuff (like not wanting it to make the start up noise, or anything Apple have decided you don't want to do!) can be very difficult, and usually requires 3rd party software.

7. Source? I don't believe this for a minute, Mac keyboards get worse and less ergonomic with each iteration. They look cool but are horrible to type on.

8. See above: no they're not.

9. Again, no. It IS a market share thing. There are several viruses for Mac in the wild now and there will be more to come. Check out this year's pwn2own contest winner on zdnet explaining how they're actually easier to exploit than PCs.

10. It used to be, but (working in a creative industry myself) is becoming less so as Apple become more consumer-focused rather than professionally-focused. The high prices and exceptionally poor hardware/build quality compared to Macs of old are starting to put people off.

I use Macs and PCs, I prefer PCs but I wouldn't say 'I am a PC', I own plenty of both. Just thought I'd correct some of the lies and untruths you're promoting here in typical fanboy fashion!
