Bank Holiday fun – with a voucher!
by Adam Dunning
Unless you’ve been living under a rock. On Mars. With your hands over your ears. You’ve probably noticed that we’ve got some wonderful printable vouchers on our site. A few days back, I was hungry and it was all about food – and how lovely it was to write about too.
Now, as I look out of DV’s towers on this gloomy Thursday morning, my attention turns to the long, Bank Holiday weekend. I don’t wanna depress you, but can you believe it’s the final Bank Holiday till Christmas? Yep. The year has gone that quick.

So, there’s a certain pressure to do something, anything. You can’t sit at home and watch Loose Women and marvel at the fact that this is ‘entertainment’ you have to go out with the kids. But, in these credit crunch times, everything’s so expensive, isn’t it?
Well fear not, dear Blog reader as in addition to having you covered in the food department, we’ve got you covered in the entertainment department as well, with some rather fantastic, printable offers for the family. First off, Thorpe Park…
Thorpe Park
We have a 2 for 1 entry for Thorpe Park. It’s a great place, it really is. Do you like rides where you lose all sense of dignity and scream and shout and stick your fingers up at the cameras? Well, Thorpe Park, just outside of London, is for you. You have the rather terrifyingly named Saw ride [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saw:_The_Ride] for the grown ups to the more sedate and more my style Swinging Sea Shells. A perfect place for this weekend. However, you could hop a little bit east and go to their competitor – Chessington….

Chessington World of Adventures
Yes, that’s right, we have also got 2 for 1 entries for Chessington World Of Adventures. In addition to having a theme park and rides like the classic Vampire Ride (I’ve been on that!) and the Beano rides, you can also visit their zoo, which is full of exotic and wonderful Zoo babies. Altogether now… aaaaaaaa

Alton Towers
We really don’t want to be accused of being southern centric, some of my best friends are northern. So, in that spirit, we have two, that’s right – two excellent vouchers for Alton Towers, one is the chance to be able to get your toddler in for £12 and the other is the 2 for 1 offer that Thorpe Park and Chessington are doing. So that’s an excellent offer.

Alton Towers is a great, huge place. With rides that will chill you to the soul, and a garden that will make you feel all serene again. A great place for a Bank Holiday Monday.
So, why not take advantage of these offers – print them out and have loads of fun this week. Just don’t think about the drive home.
